Hey all, so I just made my first purchase with the controversial Wheeljackslab on ebay, 3 pieces of g1 megatron's accessories. So I ebay messaged him after BINing the 3 items, which he says to do and to let him know I am done my shopping and ready for an invoice. Today I wake up and have an invoice with the 3 items and a fair $3 'USPS First Class Mail International' shipping charge. When I go to pay the invoice, however, I select Paypal as usual but after logging in get the message: "Transaction cancelled...this payment cannot be made...this seller does not accept payments from non-US accounts, please contact the seller for details." So I don't know what to do. In the invoice I got sent it stated that I could pay with Paypal and doesn't seem to say that non-US bidders can't in the auction or the invoice. Anyone got some insight on this? I've emailed him about it, tried to be clear and concise, doesn't sound (from the feedback threads) like he's the kind of guy you want to annoy or pester. Thanks.
I know. It happened to me too. His policy concerning International buyers, which includes Canada, is that we have to pay via Money Order. I won a Bruticus off him, tried to pay via Paypal and he told me I couldn't.
So where the hell does he state this policy? And why would he send me an invoice with both an international shipping charge AND stating I can pay with Paypal and that gives me a link to the payment section with the option to pay with Paypal there? Ugh...
You're one of many people who have been frustrated by his communication skills. He's had the policy for a while now, in the last few months however he's stopped mentioning it on his auctions.
I was tihnking the same thing. I was browsing his items to quote his policies, thought it seems as though he ahs removed them. I'd try emailing him, though he'll probably tell you the same thing I told you.
yup, he REALLY should state something at least like 'Paypal not accepted for non-US buyers' in his auctions. And if not in his auctions how could he not state this in the INVOICE??? I just receive the invoice and how does he even expect me to know this policy and make payment??? (again, the invoice tells me to follow the link to make a payment with Paypal). So is there a certain colour money order or whatever I'm going to have to get? Never done a non-paypal payment for ebay before. And getting this money order is going to cost me something too I assume? Grumble grumble...
www.bidpay.com Essentially, it creates the Money Order for you. Just fill in all the info, get out your credit card and pay. They'll ship it off to wheeljackslab, and when he gets it he'll mail you the stuff. Takes maybe a week for the MO to reach the person.

You might have to pay a fee, I forget. it was about 2 years ago that i did it. Never bought from him again. I think you have to sign up for an account, but nothing to big. He should. Like I said, email before you do anything to see if he's maybe changed his policy again.

I was more confused once the invoice came in, which still seemed to indicate I could pay with Paypal and didn't provide any info how I could and couldn't pay as an international buyer. Anyways, I've spoken to someone else from Canada who's bought off you before and he said he ended up using Bidpay to send you a money order. Is this an acceptable form of payment for you?
