Augusto Barranco, who has worked as a concept artist for Transformers (Revenge of the Fallen, Prime, and Robots In Disguise) shared on his Twitter page a concept image of Optimus Prime on Cybertron. The concept art shows a stoic Optimus Prime with many design cues that would become familiar in the Optimus Prime we saw during the Transformers Prime TV show.
Would you want to see more of Augusto Barranco’s style explored in the movie-verse, TV show? Sound off after the jump!

Thank you

It's the SFC Act 9 Armada Optimus Prime, Cybertronian mode – as seen in the final 30 seconds of Transformers Armada episode 1.

I like the design it's very evocative of TTGL
"These are the fists that will pierce the heavens!"
"Bumblebee don't believe in yourself, believe in the me that believes in you!"
Anybody know which prime figure that is to the left of the "transformers" watermark
Arsenic
So I'm not the only one who thought of that!

Megastar
Cool!
HARD RAINBOW
His chest looks like the top half of the Decepticon logo.
I never trusted Prime Prime.
DOTM Bumblebee
Very cool looking, like a cross between both bodies Optimus Prime possessed in Transformers: Prime.
SPLIT LIP
Nah, he's totally right. There's not a single thing remarkable, unique, or clever about this design.
It's just a generic pre-Earth movie-ish Optimus design counterpart to the generic Earth movie-ish Optimus design from Prime. It has that same flat, lifeless look, with no expressive posture, form, or detail. Nothing illustrates that point better than the image you posted. When was the last time we saw anything as creative as any given non-G1 design in that photo?
Bumblebee2000
I'm not too fussed, but I prefer it over what we got. Would've been nice to see.
Transmorph633
That is a pretty impressive design of Prime Optimus. I think it has a mixed vibe of his original design and his Beast Hunters design.
Prime Jetscream
It's definitely interesting, to say the least. Not particularly memorable, but interesting.
Cha Chi
It's not that different from the Prime design in the show. Not much to choose between them.
I'd like to see more of this guys designs. What i like about this and the one on the show is Optimus's agility, he doesnt lumber too much, probably the most agile and dynamic Optimus ever, maybe. Atleast it seems that way with his slenderness. Compare that to CW Optimus or BH 2.0 Optimus or RID…
Requiem Prime
Very nice. If hasbro doesn't specifically use it, I'd be genuinely surprised if a third party didn't

I think it's mostly just the art style; the TFP aesthetic doesn't really do it for me. (I like RID2015 Prime, though.) Something about the cartoony proportions mixed with a lot of detail just doesn't jive with my tastes. Plus the chest just looks really ugly.
Autovolt 127
It's basically the BH chest on the Prime body.
Meh.

All in all, I would have preferred this design to the one we got. Its a little more stylized, not so staid and boring as the final version. It still has proportion problems, IMO, thanks to the abdomen, but it's not as bothersome as on the wasp-waisted final design. I think that's because the other one is a little too severe in its proportions. Some things I do like about it are that the hands, while small, aren't practically two-dimensional like the final version, the shoulder armor doesn't look like it interfere with raising the arms to the side in a T-shape, and the windows are integrated into the chest more than the final version instead of looking like they don't attach to anything.
Chopperface
Mm, better than the Prime design. Not terrific but it looks kinda cool.
Blazere
what would be more to your tastes? just wondering =)
Stryker055
Eugh, no thanks. It's somehow even more boring than the TFP design.
